Things I did this weekend:
- Made food
- Ate food
- A lot of resting
I had a rare two days off this week and it was glorious. Wednesday was the 4th and we spent it with family trying not to drown in a pool of sweat and eating all the grilled things. Thursday I got a surprise day off and I was able to get a lot of behind the scenes work done.
Twas a good two days.
There were a lot of big things that happened this weekend and most of them were pretty amazing! The only not amazing thing? The heat. Woooooo is it hot and steamy out there. But it’s summer and that is kind of par for the course so I won’t complain too much. Continue reading

It’s a happy day, a rough day, a sad day, an exciting day, a fun day, a painful day, and a million other emotions. So no matter where you are on the “mom” spectrum or how you celebrate, I hope you found peace and happiness in your time yesterday.
And to my mom, I am who I am because of your love, guidance, laughter, rules, and example. I can’t imagine a better mom for me and I’m so glad I get to call you mine.
