For the past week, the only thing that I really want is pasta. I crave giant bowls of it. I want to swim to the bottom of a vat of pasta and eat my way out of it.
Yes, that’s weird but when it comes to pasta, I don’t care.
I don’t know why, but I fought the pasta craving for a while. It was still too hot. I was too lazy to make something fancy. There were plenty of leftovers in the fridge. You can’t just live on pasta, Katie. Basically, I made any and every excuse possible to not eat pasta even though that’s what I wanted most.
Sounds like quitter talk to me and Momma didn’t raise no quitter.
Yesterday I toyed around with a Fall version of Olive Garden’s Chicken Gnocchi soup and satisfied my pasta craving with some gnocchi. While the recipe needs just a little bit of work, the pasta was beautiful. I almost ate all of it, but I have SOME self-control.
Not much though.
But because the recipe isn’t quite ready and I’m sure all this pasta talk has you craving some of the stuff I put together a round up of my favorite pasta dishes on my blog. Some are gluten-free, some don’t technically have “real” pasta, and some are dairy free. Basically, no matter how you eat, there is a pasta dish here for you.
