You know what the world needs more of? Dessert. Is that the popular, healthy blogger thing to say? Nope. But I’m gonna say it anyway.
So often we get told to skip dessert or go for a healthier option like fruit if we want a sweet treat. Sometimes fruit is great but sometimes? You just want a big ol’ piece of cake or scoop of ice cream or full of butter/regular flour/white sugar cookie.
I’m here to tell you, that’s ok!
Should you eat all the dessert all the time? Probably not your best idea. But I think the guilt and the shame and the denying yourself a little indulgence can be a bigger problem than eating the cookie. But that is just my two cents. If you’re totally fine without dessert, you do you. Keep on truckin’ and don’t you worry bout a thing.
But if you have been torturing yourself over dessert, maybe it’s time to treat yourself and have what you have REALLY been craving. It might do you more good than you realize.
I have a round up of some of my favorite desserts from over the years. Sure, they are healthier versions of some regular desserts and I just said that you should indulge in the real thing. But if you’re not there yet or don’t want to, give these a shot.
