I don’t know about where you live, but over by me, it’s been a little warm. We started the week with an excessive heat warning which was carried over from the weekend. Pretty much I was just a giant ball of sweat.
So. Much. Sweat.
When it gets that hot, I pretty much lose my appetite because who wants to eat when they feel like they are sitting in a swamp?
Crocodiles, I suppose.
Well, I’m not a croc but I still gotta eat even if it’s 90 degrees out and feels like 105. That’s when I turn to my trusty summer food staple: salad.
Now, don’t get all depressed because a salad doesn’t have to be a sad pile of wilty leaves doused in ranch dressing. It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. My understanding is that if you put any type of dressing/sauce on a chilled dish, it can pass as a salad.
I rounded up some of my favorite salads to make and heat as the temperature climbs so you can find them all in one spot. If you are slowly melting into a sweaty puddle, revive yourself with some of these tasty (not hot) salads!
