Summer Weekend

How is it almost the middle of July?  Didn’t we just start the summer?  Sorry if realizing that summer is almost half over put some of you in a panic, but better to start preparing yourself now then wake up at the end of August and remember school starts tomorrow.

Man, being an adult usually isn’t super fun but NOT having to go back to school at the end of summer is kind of nice. Summer Weekend | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading

Surprise Day Off

I had a rare two days off this week and it was glorious.  Wednesday was the 4th and we spent it with family trying not to drown in a pool of sweat and eating all the grilled things.  Thursday I got a surprise day off and I was able to get a lot of behind the scenes work done.

Twas a good two days.

Weekend of Big

30,000 Steps at Starved Rock

According to my Fitbit, I walked over 30,000 steps on Saturday and let me tell you… I felt it on Sunday.  While every inch of my body might have been tired, it was a good tired.  Camping is always a good kind of tired.  You’re drunk on fresh air and nature, the sun has fueled you the entire day, and technology is far enough away that you don’t feel the constant pull of its various forms.

I really do enjoy our camping trips. 30,000 Steps at Starved Rock | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading
