Smoky Garlic Mayo

I’m having a thing with mayo lately.  I just can’t get enough.  It’s weird because I NEVER liked mayo as a kid.  I would use mustard on my sandwiches because I couldn’t stand mayo.

So it’s weird that I want to put it on All. The. Things. Smoky Garlic Mayo | Life Healthfully Living Continue reading

Working on Restoring

I think a lot of us, me included, feel like in order to be good and productive members of society have to do more.  More work, more outings, more social functions, more workouts, more dieting, more social media worthy activities, more whatever.  Because if you’re not doing more, you’re being lazy.

I have noticed lately that I always feel like I need to do something, whether it’s work, working out, going out with Adam, or whatever.  Slowing down feels lazy.  Another part of the constant more for me is trying to keep up with what I *think* everyone else is doing.  Because I work from home and I set my own schedule, it’s easy for me to jam as much stuff into my day just so I can keep up and not be lazy.    Picture by Yoga with Dearbhla https://www.yogawithdearbhla.com/yoga-styles Continue reading

Pesto Eggplant Burgers

There are a lot of great recipes for veggie burgers out there.  This one from Minimalist Baker is one of my favorite.  And while I prefer to make my own food rather than get store bought, sometimes I just want to take the easier route and go to the store and get what I want in like two minutes.

Which is the position I found myself in the Monday before the 4th of July. Pesto Eggplant Burgers | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading

Mexican Hot Chocolate Fudgesicles

I don’t think I fully appreciated fudgesicles when I was a kid.  I was more interested in push pops (Flinstone ones, obviously) or root beer flavored popsicles or those rocket pop things.  Or if we were really lucky, mom would come home with drumsticks.  Mmmmm, drumsticks.

What was I talking about?  Right, fudgesicles. Mexican Hot Chocolate Fudgesicles | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading
