Happy Mother’s Day

If you’re a mom, Happy Mother’s Day.

If you’re about to be a mom, Happy Mother’s Day.

If you aren’t yet a mom but want to be, Happy Mother’s Day.

If your mom isn’t here but you wish she were, Happy Mother’s Day.

If you’re not sure whether being a mom is for you, Happy Mother’s Day.

If you never had a biological mom in your life but someone who acted like a mom, Happy Mother’s Day.

If you feel a LOT of complicated emotions on this day and don’t know what to do, Happy Mother’s Day.

It’s a happy day, a rough day, a sad day, an exciting day, a fun day, a painful day, and a million other emotions.  So no matter where you are on the “mom” spectrum or how you celebrate, I hope you found peace and happiness in your time yesterday.

And to my mom, I am who I am because of your love, guidance, laughter, rules, and example.  I can’t imagine a better mom for me and I’m so glad I get to call you mine.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Things That Make Me Happy

But I don’t want to sit here and complain because that is making me grumpier than the cruddy weather.  Instead, I’m going to talk about things that make me happy.  That should make Monday (and this nutty weather) a little bit better! Things That Make Me Happy | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading

The Shortest Weekend

This post is going to be short.  Just like this past weekend.  And mostly because I entirely forgot that it was Monday today and didn’t write my post last night like I usually do. The Shortest Weekend | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading

Warmish Weather… Sort Of

In Chicago, this in-between spring and winter time can feel like the longest time of year.  One day it will be 50 degrees, the next day it will snow 2 inches, then it will be sunny and 45, and then 30 with a bitter wind off the lake.

That legitimately was the weather this week. Warmish Weather... Sort Of | Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading
