This post is going to be short. Just like this past weekend. And mostly because I entirely forgot that it was Monday today and didn’t write my post last night like I usually do.
I blame this guy for all that chaos.
Good thing he is a cutie patootie!! This week I’m dogsitting in Wheeling so things are a little different than usual. Because who doesn’t love change? Amirite?!
Anywho, despite the craziness of staying in a new place this weekend and upending my (finally nailed down routine), it was an awesome weekend. I got to spend some time with my sister, brother-in-law, and their friend Lena on Friday night before they got up extremely early to head to Texas. Then on Saturday, I worked in the morning, ran errands in the afternoon, and found a new guilty pleasure show on Netflix.
It’s called Girls Incarcerated and it’s about a juvenile detention facility in Madison, Indiana. I have a mild obsession with shows about prison (all my love to Lockup), so this show was right up my alley and I spent way too much time on Saturday watching it.
Sunday was Palm Sunday and I headed to church with my parents. Then we headed to Valparaiso, Indiana (not to a detention facility) but to watch St. Paul’s 7/8 girl’s basketball team play in the national championships! It’s the first time the team has been to nationals and it was exciting to cheer for a team that I used to play on… 16 years ago. They ended up taking second place but had an amazing season and everyone is super proud of them.
Finally, I wrapped up my weekend with dinner at my parent’s house. Because when you’re only a 15-minute drive away from you Mom and Dad, you beg them to feed you 😉
I don’t have a meal prep plan or menu for you this week because I’m kind of just flying by the seat of my pants right now. I have the stuff to make food, I just didn’t actually make any food. But I do have new recipes for you and I’m feeling like a few round-up of oldie but goodie recipes are in order this week, so be on the lookout for those!
How was your weekend?
