What I Ate Wednesday: Husband Edition

I AM SEEING HAMILTON TODAY! I REPEAT, I AM SEEING HAMILTON TODAY!!!!

Ok, now that I’m done shouting from the rooftops, hello!  Today is the day!! Wayyyyyy back in January, Adam gave me one of the best Christmas presents ever and bought tickets to see the musical, Hamilton.  The first available date was July 12th, so I waited.  And waited.  Then waited a little more…. and now the day is here!  Can you tell I’m excited?  I’m sure I’ll tell you all about our day on the blog because of course, you want to know everything.  🙂

But now for the actual reason for this post besides gushing about Hamilton, my husband.  Specifically, what my husband eats.  I thought for this What I Ate Wednesday I would share a day of my husbands eats because he actually eats A LOT differently than I do.  And that’s ok.  We’re two different people with two different needs and two different bodies. What I Ate Wednesday Husband Edition Life Healthfully Lived Continue reading

4th of July Dessert Round-Up

We just got back from North Webster yesterday where we celebrated the holiday with Adam’s stepdad’s family and later today we’re headed to Mount Prospect to have a cookout with my parents.  It’s been a busy few days but it’s also been great spending time with my family.  I’ll do a full recap on Wednesday but let’s get on to the real reason you’re here.

Roasted Green Potato Salad

I debated calling this a Roasted Green Monster Potato Salad but what makes it monstrous?  Why do we add weird descriptors like monster to our food?  Does it make us more likely to eat it?  Is it some advertising scheme that a bunch of evil genius’ came up with to take over the world through our food system? If I called it the Roasted Green Monster Potato Salad, would you be more inclined to make the recipe?

These are the important questions I ask myself as I name my recipes.  You’re welcome. Roasted Green Potato Salad | Life Healthfully Lived  Continue reading
