This week started off not so great. And when your Monday starts off not so great the rest of the week can seem long and tortuous.
Sunday night I went to go pay off my credit card bill (something I do every Sunday) through my app and it said it needed to upgrade. Great. Let’s do that. Yeah, no. The app didn’t want to upgrade so I had to uninstall it and then install it again. All was good until I went to sign in with my fingerprint as usual and they instead asked for my username and password.
I haven’t used a username and password for my credit card in years.
So fast forward to Monday morning when I go to retrieve my password. Turns out the information I gave to get that password doesn’t match what they have on file. Super. So I call the support line (everyone’s favorite thing to do) and got it all worked out. Unfortunately, as I was standing in the kitchen with my computer and phone trying to work all of this out, I dropped my computer and smashed the screen.
Not a happy start to the week.
Good news is my computer still works bad news is that the screen is toast and I’m going to have to replace it. Which is always fun because don’t we all just have money lying around to replace our most expensive possessions? Sure.
Luckily my Monday turned around pretty quickly and I got to spend the evening in the city with my friends Ashley and Theresa. All three of us haven’t been together in years so it was awesome to get to hang out. And we didn’t just hang out downtown, we hung out at a Hanson concert.
Oh yes, my friends, Hanson.

See? They just needed haircuts and facial hair.
I was never a huge Hanson fan when I was young and MMMbop was big. But I have started listening to their more recent music and I have to say I really like it. They are a talented bunch of men and last night’s concert was fantastic. They played all of their music along with an orchestra.
And yes, they played MMMBop.
How can you not be happy after MMMBop? It’s pretty impossible and I’m sure scientific fact.
In other fun news, I’m currently working on holiday recipes for the blog because what better way to get back into the swing of posting recipes than to do it with delicious food you can eat with friends and family? Be looking for things like pesto mashed potatoes, Thanksgiving puff bites, and probably something with cranberries. Because I like cranberries.
Have a fantastic Wednesday my friends!
