I’ve had to wait three decades but it is finally my golden birthday. 31 on 31. Do people even do that anymore? Golden birthday’s?
Oh well, I don’t care.
I’m going to keep this one brief because I have birthday things to do AKA eat delicious things. I still have about half the spice cake with cream cheese frosting (drool) my mom made for my family celebration this past weekend.
I made about 3 dozen of my pumpkin cookies yesterday and had the brilliant idea to dip them in white chocolate:
I started my day with chocolate PB oatmeal with a dollop of cream cheese frosting because I am an adult and it is my birthday:
I’m also experimenting with a fall mostaccioli using this adorable butternut squash pumpkin pasta from Trader Joes:
Obviously, when you turn 31 everything is about eating wonderful food and I am not going to fight it. I will say that my 30th year by far exceeded my expectations. It was full of big/little things. Things that from the outside don’t look that big but feel enormous on the outside. Yeah, I know that’s weird and vague but I deserve that right because it’s my birthday.
All I can say with certainty right now is that I can’t WAIT to see what 31 has in store for me!
Happy birthday!!!!
