This weekend was spent dog-sitting for both my parents and sister and husband. Busy weekend but full of dogs, so I really can’t complain. Plus the weather was absolutely FABULOUS. Hopefully, you got the chance to get out and enjoy it!
Before I get into my meal prep stuff (which is a little sparse on account of me being away all weekend), I just wanted to talk about labels. Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be preachy or ranty, just a general observation and reminder for myself.

Tuscan Stuffed Spaghetti Squash
This is seriously the Fall of shoving things into sweet potatoes and various squashes. That doesn’t sound super appetizing but trust me, it is. Each year when squash starts to show up in the grocery store, I do a little happy dance.
Not in my head, a real out in the open happy dance. Good thing I shop early in the morning.

Rain, Rain… You Can Stay
For some reason, I am totally fine with rain during the Fall. I relish it, in fact. A rainy day in the Fall is the perfect excuse to stay inside, read, drink hot tea, bake all the things, and pretty much just act like a hermit.
The only time I don’t like rain in the fall is when it cancels roomie reunion plans.

Whole Roasted Chicken
There are some weeks where the last thing I want to do on this planet is meal plan/prep. My brain just doesn’t want to think of meals and ingredients and preparation and planning and cooking. I don’t want to shop for anything. I don’t want to look at my cooking utensils. I don’t want to turn on a burner or my oven.
Basically, I want food to magically appear with zero effort or thought on my part.
