I got to have two Thanksgivings this year (and every year…) and they were both phenomenal.
Adam and I kicked off the holiday with his family Wednesday evening. We had a soup night at his grandma’s house with most of his aunts and uncles (there are nine of them) and then the big meal at his aunt Kathy’s house the next day. I always love the hustle and bustle of Adam’s side of the family. There are always so many people making food, laughing, talking, and doing things.

The look you give when you tell your husband to take pictures and he immediately takes a close-up of you.
We came back home Thursday night and then had a day of rest before we headed to Thanksgiving #2 with my family on Saturday. My side is a quieter affair but it’s just as soul-warming. I love the traditions my family has for this holiday. The dishes that my mom makes, signing the tablecloth every year, and using our three kernels of corn to say what we’re thankful for.

Andy so proud of the table he just set…

…and then resting for a job well done!
Overall, this was an excellent Thanksgiving. I had so much to be thankful for and the time with family filled me up in the best way possible.

Picking my secret Santa name. We each get one person for Christmas instead of everyone buying presents for everyone.

So millennial of us…

Mom REALLY excited for the broccoli and rice casserole.
The five pounds of leftovers didn’t hurt either. 🙂

How was your holiday?

Carving the turkey

A little booze for your apple cider?

When you make a salad, you obviously pose with it.

And the other annual shot of Andy’s pile of food 😉

Full of food and love. Happy Thanksgiving!
